Hypnotherapy for Anxiety
Anxiety is a natural human response and it’s common to experience some anxiety while coping with stressful events or changes, especially if they could have a big impact on your life.
Common symptoms include:
- a churning feeling in the stomach
- feeling light-headed or dizzy
- restlessness
- faster breathing and heart beat
- sweating/hot flushes
- teeth grinding
- sleep problems
- OCD
- over worrying
- panic attacks
- IBS
- headaches
These symptoms are caused by the release of hormones as part of the ‘Fight or Flight’ reaction which prepares us to fight, freeze or run in a moment of danger. Many people experience these heightened anxiety reactions in response to a harmless trigger, and the effects can become too strong and stay longer than necessary. Perhaps fears or worries are out of proportion to the situation or you avoid situations that might cause you to feel anxious. Worries may feel very distressing or are difficult to control and you may find it hard to go about your everyday life or do things you enjoy.
Hypnotherapy is a wonderful way to treat anxiety, giving you the ability to cope in different situations in a calm and effective way. It helps you to understand what is causing the anxiety in the first place or why it is happening. The hypnotherapy will help you to control your anxiety levels and have a calmer, more confident approach to all situations.

Hypnotherapy for Confidence
Having low confidence can affect many people at some point in their lives, and it can hold us back from developing personally, professionally and socially.
Wanting increased confidence might be for a presentation at work, exam or for a job interview. Or it might mean making positive changes to live life the way you want, feeling comfortable within your own skin and improving relationships with family and social networks.
The good news is that change is all possible, and any feelings of low confidence can be unlearned. Within you is a confident person that can be rediscovered and nurtured, and hypnotherapy can help you achieve your true potential.
Hypnotherapy is a wonderful and safe way to make positive long-lasting change in the way you feel about yourself from deep within. You can reach your true potential and feel in control and much better about every aspect of your life.

Hypnotherapy for Sleep
Sleep is essential for everything we do in life, and difficulties sleeping can cause many problems with concentration, anxiety, work, how we eat and our health.
Common sleep issues include:
- Insomnia
- Difficulty getting to sleep
- Waking up in the middle of the night
- Waking up too early
- Difficulty Waking up
I will work with you to explore how your sleep is affected and tailor your therapy to resolve the issues affecting it.
Hypnotherapy will tap into your subconscious to uncover what is triggering the sleep problem. Your body may have got used to the unusual sleep patterns which have then become a habit, or anxiety could be preventing sleep. Through hypnosis I can suggest positive changes that will help break the negative thought patterns causing your sleep problem, and focus on retraining the mind to relax for healthy sleeping.

Hypnotherapy to Stop Smoking
Most smokers will want to stop smoking at some point, and if you have reached this time when you truly want to stop, then hypnotherapy is a very effective way to kick the habit for good. It is much easier than you think!
It is a single session that will last for approximately 2 hours, and you will leave as a non-smoker.
I also offer a free booster session within 6 months if any extra help is needed.
![](https://hwhypnotherapy.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/HWH-Hypnotherapy-Weight-Loss.jpeg)
Hypnotherapy for Weight Loss
Hypnotherapy for weight reduction is not a diet. Instead it creates a healthy relationship with food and eating with lasting effect.
We all know consciously what we should eat, it’s just that our sub-conscious mind seems to have other ideas! When we dive deep and address the factors affecting a person’s weight, these can be released and weight loss will come.
I offer a weight reduction programme at a pace that suits your needs, normally between 2 and 4 months.

Hypnotherapy for Bereavement
Many people struggle to overcome feelings of loss or bereavement, and everybody experiences grief and loss in different ways and at different paces.
For some people, time is enough to help them come to terms with their loss. However, this does not always happen. Over time, many people are left with feelings of guilt, anger or blame, sleep issues, anxiety or stress, loneliness, loss of confidence or fear for the future.
Sometimes the loss has not been grieved for, and this can impair healing and lead to feelings of heartache and depression.
Hypnotherapy can help you to lessen these feelings and help you to find ways of coping in the future.
![](https://hwhypnotherapy.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/HWH-Hypnotherapy-Parts-Therapy.jpg)
Hypnotherapy for Parts Therapy
Have you ever felt like part of you wants to do one thing, but another part of you wants to do another? Sometimes an internal conflict like this can cause angst and hold you back.
Parts hypnotherapy is an advanced therapeutic technique that empowers you to create change and remove any barriers to your own success.
During the session, I will create a dialogue of sorts with your subconscious, identifying what part of your mind is directing the habit or behaviour that you want to change, or decision you want to make, giving you answers and sourcing a solution. Answers are found within your subconscious mind to find the part of you that can implement change. The answers are all within you and I am there to guide you to them.

Hypnotherapy for Chronic Pain
Pain has a purpose when it alerts us to a new injury, problem or potential problem. Normally this pain will resolve when the problem or injury has healed or been treated.
Sometimes however, pain can remain long after medical treatment has been sought and tissues have healed; this is chronic pain.
This prolonged pain can cause stress, anxiety and fatigue, and these are common side effects that can even make the sensation feel worse. Chronic pain like this can last months or years and drastically affect a person’s life.
Hypnotherapy is invaluable for this complex issue, helping not only the pain itself but also any associated stress, sleep, fatigue and anxiety problems.
Medical intervention must always be sought for any pain before commencing hypnotherapy. Following this, or alongside, hypnotherapy is used to engage the healing potential of our own mind for ongoing pain or symptoms that serves no purpose anymore. It explores the subconscious for underlying triggers that are hanging onto pain that we no longer need, and reframes the mind to reduce and alleviate pain, and also any associated sleep problems and stress.
Results can really transform client’s quality of life.

Hypnotherapy for Trauma
Many of us will experience or witness a traumatic event(s) in our life. Sometimes we are unable to process these events and this can cause long lasting anxiety known as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It can affect anyone and symptoms can appear a long time after the event.
Symptoms may include:
- stress and anxiety
- sleep issues
- anger
- flashbacks
- fear
- panic attacks
- feeling on edge
- questioning yourself, guilt or shame
- physical feelings such as pain, sweating and nausea
- avoidance of talking and thinking about the event
- avoidance of a certain situation that might remind you of the trauma
Hypnotherapy helps PTSD in many ways, allowing a state of physical and mental relaxation and also by identifying triggers for your anxiety so that they can be desensitised.

Hypnotherapy for Chronic Illness
Some illnesses and conditions present ongoing symptoms of pain, fatigue and impairment. The knock on effect of these issues can take their toll on our mental well-being, perhaps affecting our sleep and causing stress and anxiety.
Coping with a long term illness is hard for you and for those close to you. Hypnotherapy can help in so many ways, helping to manage pain, improve sleep, reduce stress and anxiety, or give coping methods to improve quality of life.
![](https://hwhypnotherapy.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/HWH-Hypnotherapy-Fears-Phobias.jpg)
Hypnotherapy for Fears & Phobias
Phobias are a type of anxiety disorder, where an intense fear is triggered by a particular situation or object. Sometimes even just thinking about the trigger can be enough to cause the distress, and the level of anxiety is disproportionate to the situation.
A phobia can be of anything, and the level it affects a person varies hugely. Sometimes the phobia can cause debilitating behavioural change, causing distress, panic attacks and preventing you from doing the things you normally enjoy. Even if you know the situation or object is not harmful, the anxiety is so strong that your fear is disproportionate and can impact how you live your day to day life.
NICE guidelines recommend talking therapy of which hypnotherapy is a wonderful method. Hypnosis lowers the amount of fear so that you remain in control when presented with the trigger, and the anxious response is either manageable or gone. In this way, the phobia is desensitised, changing the way you feel and behave towards it for ever.

Hypnotherapy for Past Life Regression
This is a safe and guided journey through a past life or lives. Examining experiences from a previous existence in this way can be very rewarding and enlightening, helping connect current issues to a past life.
Sometimes undergoing this therapeutic process can finally provide you with some explanation, or a sense of internal peace.
![](https://hwhypnotherapy.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/HWH-Hypnotherapy-Unwanted-Habits.jpeg)
Hypnotherapy for Unwanted Behaviours or Habits
Habits develop for a variety of reasons, perhaps to help change how we feel about various parts of our lives or, it could be a habit we think we are in control of which then gets out of hand.
These habits may be absolutely anything, from nail biting to gambling, and anything in between. Sometimes a habit can become unhealthy and start impacting a person’s life negatively.
Hypnotherapy is brilliant for resolving unwanted habits or behaviour. It explores the causes and triggers within the subconscious and then guides the mind to release them.
